The older methods use caused a lot of scarring and also some very small tattoos depending on the site may also be excised.

How does this laser work?
This laser works by breaking the pigment/ colour cells/ colour particles into very small pieces so that the body can remove them. It works by a similar mechanism on the birth marks/ freckles and flat moles also.

By when does my tattoo become invisible?
The tattoo removal is a multiple staged procedure, some results are visible immediately after the first session. But we may need 6-8 sessions for significant lightening. All tattoos may not disappear 100% , but lighten up significantly. The improvement continues to occur even 2-4 weeks after the laser session.

Will the colour or the age of my tattoo matter in results?
Black coloured tattoos respond the best to the tereatments, green and red colour doesn’t respond as well but does become lighter. The age of the tattoo does not matter significantly.

Will I get a scar on that area or any other side effects? Someone told me that lasers can cause cancers!!
The fears about cancer because of laser is absolutely unfounded and irrational, these procedures have been in use for long now and there is no scientific documentation about such risks. Also the techniques and equipment used are very advanced there is no logical reasoning for lasers causing cancers. There are no significant side effects of this laser but yes people with darker skin types may get a little dyspigmentation of the skin in the treated areas which gets better with time. Also 3-5 days after the treatment the area may be a little red and some crusting/scabing may be noticed.

How much does this cost?
These lasers have come along way since their invention and have become really affordable to the common man these days. For small lesion the treatments start with as low as Rs 800/session.
